Obituary for Chad James Kuhn
We will never say that he lost the battle, for it was never a fair fight to begin with. Chad James Kuhn, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, coach, teammate, and friend passed away peacefully on August 19, 2017 having spent his last few days surrounded by those who loved him most. He was 3 weeks shy of his 40th birthday. Chad’s amazing outlook and positive attitude were an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to know him. Chad is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Amy; children Levi, Madi, and Garver; his caring parents, Dale and Charlotte Kuhn, his sisters, Amanda Kuhn (Ken Plut) and their children Boe, Tien, and Adalize; Melissa (Cam) Bates and their sons Benson and Rylan; his very special “Tantes” who were like sisters to him and their families; Lynn Gaudet, Lee©Anne (Henry) Trumier and their son Alex, and Lisa (Kim) Dryka and their son Travis; Amy’s parents, Jim and Adeline Kohle; brothers©in©law Scott (Vanessa) Kohle and their sons Graysen, Rogan, and Emerson; Justin (Amanda) Kohle and their daughter Jaimz; Grandparents Joe and Helen Kuhn, Mary Osolinsky, and Marilyn Kohle; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be joyfully reunited with his adoring grandparents, Ralph and Jeanne Gaudet, and his cousin Eric. The family would like thank Dr. Leo, Dr. Shaw, Dr. Haider, the staff at the Cancer Center, the staff of 6100, the management and staff of Wakaw Lakeview Pioneer Lodge, and the entire community of Wakaw for the excellent care and support during the last 3 years. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Both Services will be held at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw with Rev. Fr. Phong Tran as celebrant. Interment of the Urn will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Chad may be directed to the Town of Wakaw for a bench in Chad’s memory and to help towards the installation of a wheelchair ramp at the Town of Wakaw Arena.
