Obituary for David Albert Hauber

David Hauber passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his family, on March 29, 2022, at the Humboldt District Health Complex. He was 80 years old. He is survived by Dolores, his loving wife of 56 years, sons Bradley (Norma), and Ryan (Cara), and daughters Lorelei (Hal) Diederichs, and Colleen (Derek) Flasch, brother Henry (Eyvette), and sister Genevieve (Morris) Trischuk, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many friends, relatives, and in-laws. David was predeceased by his father, Albert, mother, Anna, brother, Francis, and sisters, Delphine, Marion, and Helen.

A humble, gentle, and religious man, David lived his entire life farming in the Cudworth area. Many years were spent tending to crops, livestock, and working in his yard and shop. Serving in many organizations and doing community work in the Cudworth area, he never shied away from helping others with his time and donations. Retirement time included many road trips checking crops, visiting family, and cruising through another car or truck lot. He enjoyed nature, and spent many hours in his last years building bird houses that today dot the countryside. Through it all, he always loved his family.

The family would like to thank the Humboldt District Health Complex for the excellent care and attention he received from Dr. Bourgeois and the nurses in his final days.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at St. Michael’s Parish in Cudworth, Saskatchewan, at 10:30 AM. Internment will be held after mass at St. Michael’s Cemetery, with lunch to follow at the Cudworth Town Hall.

Donations can be made to St. Michael’s Haven or Humboldt District Health Complex.
