Obituary for Gerald Edward Goller

June 28, 1951 - June 19, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father Gerald Goller on the evening of June 19, 2021 at the age of 69 years. Gerald began his life in Wakaw on the family homestead, which he stayed connected to throughout his entire life, eventually purchasing the land and ultimately spending his final days on his little piece of heaven. His family was his life story. Being the oldest of eight siblings carried extra responsibility. When the time came to continue working hard for a family of his own, he did so without a second thought. His many years mastering his skills as a carpenter progressed to the creation and fine craftsmanship of anything imaginable from furniture, to cabinets, to rocking horses for his grandchildren. Anyone that knew Gerald, also knew the tremendous pride and joy he had for his children and grandchildren. He truly enjoyed spending time with them in his abundant garden, cooking delicious holiday meals, getting down on the floor for rough housing fun, whipping up his famous pancakes in the morning and every opportunity to talk, joke, and laugh with them all. He will fondly and forever be remembered by his family and friends for always having a strong shoulder to lean on, openly listening with an attentive ear, consistently being there when needed, and making us feel safe with those warm comforting hugs. Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed. Gerald leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his daughters, Melanie Goller (Owen Jungwirth) of Cudworth, SK and Candice (Chris) Dutka of Wakaw, SK; his grandchildren: Ryley, Chloe, Rebecca, Autumn & Victor; his mother, Margaret Goller, of Wakaw SK; his siblings: Joan Parenteau, Adele Domino, Rita (Delmer) Varga, Lloyd (Angela) Goller, Lyle (Janet) Goller, Cindy (Gerry) Pilon and Daryl (Tracy) Goller; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Gerald was predeceased by his father Edward Goller, his brother-in-law Len Domino and his nephew Kyle Domino. A Mass of Christian was celebrated at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw, SK, with Rev. Fr. Matthew Nguyen as celebrant. Interment of the Urn followed at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Cemetery in Wakaw. Donations in memory of Gerald may be directed to the Saskatchewan Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Marc Blondeau on Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
