Obituary for Gilles Andre Branger

Gilles Branger passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his two daughters Michelle and Ginette, brother Maurice and sister Janine on April 17, 2021. Gilles, born on March 6, 1945, grew up in St. Louis, SK with his two brothers and three sisters. He loved the country life and had many happy memories of working in the fields and gardens. After living in the city of Prince Albert working as Sentence Administrator at the Penitentiary and raising a family, Gilles returned to where he was most comfortable. In 1992 Gilles moved back to St. Louis where he lived a quiet, contented life on a little patch of land overlooking the river. This was his piece of heaven on earth. Gilles leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his daughters Michelle (Darryn) Receveur and Ginette (Bill) Martin; his grandchildren: Kayleigh (Derrick) McInnis, Thomas and Molly Receveur, Jordan Mannix and Kelsey Mannix (Brandon Ogden); his great granddaughters Aubrey McInnis and Ellie Ogden; his brothers Lionel (Genny) Branger and Maurice (Louise) Branger; his sisters: Raymond (Joe) Boullianne, Carmen (Jim) Gordy and Janine (Jim) Hoey; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Gilles was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Laurence (Gaudet) Branger. He will be remembered and deeply missed for his kind, gentle nature and his devoutness to his church and faith. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Millan Sajonas as celebrant. Interment of the Urn followed in the St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Gilles nay be directed to the St. Louis parish. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
