Obituary for Luba Nadia Ochitwa

Luba “Nadia” Ochitwa
The family and friends of Nadia Ochitwa wish to announce, with great sadness, her passing on November 19, 2020 in St. Paul’s hospital at the age of 72. Nadia was born on July 23, 1948 in Canora, Saskatchewan to Michael and Sophie Ochitwa. She was the youngest of three children. Nadia was predeceased by her father in 1979, her mother in 2004, her brother Eugene in 2000 and her other brother Orest in 2009. Nadia received her teaching degree and her passion was educating students not only in Saskatchewan but also abroad in England, Vienna and Germany. Nadia shared so many stories of her travels and teaching with much enthusiasm where you truly felt that she made an impact on those little people she came in contact with. She was a people person who always asked questions to whomever she met really wanting to find you about you. Her cats were everything to her and loved Hobbit and Oashie as her children. Nadia had a gift to give and she did this with true love and compassion. We would like to express our warmhearted thanks all the hospital staff at St. Paul’s hospital who cared for Nadia while she was there. Nadia will be sadly missed by her family and close friends. A Grave Side Service was held at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with The Very Rev. Fr. Taras Makowsky officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403
