Obituary for Helen Melvine Kaminski

Helen Kaminski (Schewaga)
Helen passed away peacefully on September 16, 2020 at the age of 85 years with family by her side. Helen was born and raised in Cudworth in 1935 into a family of 12 children. Upon completion of Grade 12 she worked at Adilman’s department store in Saskatoon where she met and married Adolph Kaminski. They farmed in the Brooksby district. Helen worked on and off the farm for many years. Helen and Adolph took pride in their faith and community. Helen worked as a Librarian in Melfort and her favourite job was story time, where she would read to the young children. Helen was very creative and operated a drapery business in later years. Helen loved to sew and enjoyed her flower garden. Helen is survived by her children Rob ( Linda) and their children Kristina and Megan; Gary (Roxy) and their children Tatianna (Cy), Rhianna, and Michael (Karlee); and Holly (Dana Hanna) Alexander and their daughter Nicole. She is also survived by her siblings Mary, Peter, Paul (Leona), Elaine (Arnie), Eileen (Bob), and Leona (Louie) as well as numerous nieces and nephews relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Cudworth Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided to our mother. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Cudworth. Interment of the Urn will take place at St. Helen’s Roman Catholic Cemetery near Brooksby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Cudworth Nursing Home and Community Health Centre. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
