Lucienne (nee Lanovaz) Georget
We regret to announce her passing on April 30, 2020, in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, with her daughter, Ida, by her side. Mom was born May 15, 1924, to Gabrielle and Rene Lanovaz, in Titanic, Saskatchewan and grew up at La Plaine, Saskatchewan. Mom married Dad (Lucien Georget) on September 1, 1954. They farmed in Domremy, Saskatchewan. She is survived by seven children: Julie (Allan McNay), Lucie (Conrad Gaudet), Leo, Therese (Cyril Proulx), Ida (Dominique Forcier), Louise (Denis Bertrand), and Gilles, 22 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren, with another on the way, and many nieces and nephews. Mom is predeceased by our Dad, Lucien, her parents, her infant son Henri, granddaughter Giselle, daughter-in-law, Lisa, great granddaughter, Violet, her siblings-Louis (Lucille), Raymond (Mary), Marie (Marius Pelletier), Emile (Marjorie), Henri(Irene), and Leonie in infancy and by her husband’s family, parents-in-law Marie Anne and Jules, step father-in-law, Henri Perillat, Dad’s siblings: Alexandre (Albertine), Remi (Aline), Josaphat (Yvonne), numerous nephews and nieces. Mom was laid to rest at a private burial at Domremy Cemetery, on May 2,2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. We wish to thank the staff and administration of Lakeview Pioneer Lodge, Father Matthew and Father Ramel, and Marc Blondeau and staff of Kushneryk Funeral Service for the wonderful care of Mom and of us. In lieu of flowers, tributes can be made to Lakeview Pioneer Lodge, Wakaw, or Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Parish, Domremy. We also wish to thank all the relatives, friends, and neighbours who have been so kind to our family over the years.
