Obituary for Rebecca Lorraine Georget

Rebecca Lorraine Georget passed away suddenly on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 19 years. Rebecca was the first born child of Micheal and Colette Georget. She arrived as a present to her papa, his first granddaughter, on his birthday September 22, 2000. Rebecca had a very adventurous spirit right from the beginning of her life. She would travel the pastures like Dora the Explorer, then conquered mountains with her dad. She explored Europe with her friends, went on trips with her family, and once again went back on her final adventure to Europe with her cousin Jeri-Anne. Rebecca had a heart of gold. She loved her two brothers with everything she had, even though they got on her nerves. There was nothing she wouldn’t do to protect them. Rebecca loved her parents. You could either find mom and Rebecca watching “Gilmore Girls” or “Grey’s Anatomy” while in the kitchen cooking or baking or find her with dad working on the farm and having our family’s famous “Toolbox Meetings”. Rebecca was our angel. She was a young and beautiful, had a smile that lit up a room. She was crazy smart and lived every day to the fullest. Rebecca is survived by her mom and dad Colette and Micheal, her brothers Jessie and Billy, her grandparents Denis and Audrey Georget and Gilles and Lorraine Gareau, her “Third Brother” Brandon LeBlanc and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her great grandparents. The Prayer Vigil will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Both Services will be held at the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy with Rev. Fr. Ramel Macapala as celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Cemetery. Rebecca strongly believed in raising awareness for mental health. Donations in her memory may be directed to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Saskatchewan Division. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
