Surrounded by his family, Arsène Julien Joseph Robert passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Arsène was born may 30, 1930 to Emery and Madeleine (Georget) Robert in Domremy, SK. He was the sixth of seven children and the youngest boy. Together they purchased a house and 10 acres on the outskirts of Domremy. Here they started their family and created a loving and happy home. Arsène and Denise welcomed their first child, Louise, in June of 1965 and their second child, Maurice, in April of 1967. Arsène was an extremely active member of the community. He volunteered countless hours working at many community projects. He was a member of the community club and even served as mayor of Domremy for a time. He is well remembered for his dedication to the curling rink, where he made ice, organized bonspiels with Ralph Gaudet and assisted in the operation of the kitchen. Arsène was a very humble and quiet man and preferred that his volunteerism go unheralded.
