Obituary for Jason Kohle

It is with extreme grief we announce the tragic death of Jason Kohle, 35. Jason was born in Wakaw, SK on December 24, 1982 to Wally and Lynn (Howell) Kohle and became the big brother to two sisters, Michelle and Kara. Jason grew up in Wakaw and spent his days playing hockey and working on the family farm. He later attended Rosthern Junior College, graduating in 2001 and went on to gain his Journey-person Electrician status. He worked for Bridge City Electric and at the Rabbit Lake mine before he decided to open his own company, J’s Prairie Electric. Jason, being a true and hardworking farmer, decided to dedicate his time to farming and running his successful electrical company in Wakaw.

Upon meeting the love of his life, Raelene Franklin, Jason decided to make a move to Tisdale and begin a new and fulfilling adventure. Raelene and Jason were married on July 30, 2016 on their acreage in Tisdale. This is where Jason began volunteering, smiling and lending an ear to anyone who needed him to listen. After a long battle with cancer and with Jason by her side, his wife Raelene passed away at their acreage on July 31. 2018.

Jason will be always loved and greatly missed by his parents Wally and Lynn Kohle, his sisters Michelle (Rob) and Kara (Barry), his nieces Alandria and Reese, Raelene’s family (his second family) and by his cousins, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held on Tuesday September 25th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw.
