It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Florence Sophie Hessdorfer on December 22, 2015. Florence was born on April 10, 1929 to Henry and Mina Frie. She grew up on a farm near Cudworth SK, attending Hoodoo School. In 1953 she married Mervin Hessdorfer and they lived in St. Benedict for the next 17 years. In 1970 the family moved to Cudworth, where she worked as a waitress and then babysat for various families. Florence was active in the community and always enjoyed a good card game with family and friends. Worldly possessions and monetary wealth didn’t mean much to her, rather she spent her life as a loving Mother, Mother in law and Grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed baking and always knew everyone’s favourite cake, making sure one was baked whenever they visited.
Florence is Lovingly Remembered by her son Rod (Lynn) Hessdorfer of Saskatoon, SK., Karen (Archie) Poleschuk of Calgary, AB, Merle (Warren) Franklin of Saskatoon, SK, and Linda (Lambert) Stumborg of Humboldt, SK; 11 grandchildren, Tracy Scarfe-Hessdorfer, Chrissy (Ryan) Hessdorfer, Jeremy (Val) Hessdorfer, Julianne Hessdorfer, Matthew (Leanne) Bradford, Ginny (Greg) Roffie. Jason (Jenn) Poleschuk, Shawna (Daniel) Krejcik-Rose, Crystal (James) Franklin, Branden Stumborg and Logan Stumborg. 7 great-grandchildren, Roger, Conry, Jordan, Jael, Lincoln, Adelyn and Adam.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, 2015, at 10:30 a.m at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Cudworth, SK. Followed by Burial at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cudworth, Saskatchewan. In Lieu of flowers a donation can be made to St. Michael's Haven or The Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
