Marina Pauline Grace Cochet (nee McDougall), aged 78, died peacefully on February 16, 2015 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, after a long struggle with liver disease. Marina was born February 3, 1937, in St. Louis, SK, to Mederic and Marie Anne (Lepine) McDougall. In November 1956, at age 19, Marina married Joseph (Sonny) Cochet in St. Louis, where they lived close to family most of their married life in addition to raising their three children. Marina is survived by her husband, Sonny, her children: Richard (Connie) Cochet of Prince Albert, SK., Roxanne Fraser of Edmonton, AB., and Rhonda (Ryan) Jungwirth of Cudworth, SK.; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; her brothers and sisters: Valida (Emile) Lussier, Doris McDougall, Marie (Raymond) Cochet, Alexandre (Eileen) McDougall and Greg McDougall; brother-one-law, Tony Petit; and a number of other relatives and very close friends. Marina was predeceased by her parents, Mederic and Marie Anne McDougall; and her sister Verna Petit, in 2013. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the St Louis Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Ramel Macapala as celebrant. Interment of the Urn followed in the St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marina may be directed to the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church Cemetery Fund. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert; Saskatoon Royal University and St. Paul hospitals in Saskatoon; and the Edmonton University of Alberta hospital for their support and caring in her final days. Thank you to all the family and friends who stopped by for a visit with mom.
