Obituary for Victor John Osolinsky

Victor John Osolinsky
Victor John Osolinsky passed away peacefully on Jan.9, 2015 at the age of 79 at Rosthern Hospital with his family at his side. Victor was born on the homestead farm at Wakaw, Sk on October 25, 1935 to Frank and Hafia (Youzwa) Osolinsky. He was the third child of four children and only son. As a young man Victor went to try big city work but that was a brief venture due to the passing of his mom on Jan.14, 1955. He then came home to the family farm at Wakaw to pursue his passion for farming. Victor married Mary Slusar in June of 1956. Together they raised four children. In the early 70’s they discovered a way to diversify the farm. This is when Victor founded “Osolinsky Meats” which is still a family owned and operated business. Victor enjoyed working on the farm and in the meat business as long as his health allowed him to. Victor dearly loved his family and instilled in them the importance of strong faith and good work ethics. He also enjoyed visiting and sharing stories and playing Kaiser with family and friends. Victor leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his loving wife of 58 years, Mary, his children Diane (Bill) Green, Adeline (Jim) Kohle and David (Karen) Osolinsky all of Wakaw, his grand children: Jessica, Christopher (Leah), Adam (Steph), Amy (Chad), Scott (Vanessa), Justin (Amanda) and Derek (Chantelle); his great grand children; Ethan, Sadie, Micah, Laylah, Levi, Madison, Garver, Graysen, Rogan, Emerson and Addison; his sister Mary (Ben) Nagy of Wakaw, his brother-in-law John Kosmynka of Saskatoon, as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Victor was predeceased by his parents Frank and Hafia (Youzwa), his son Richard in 1991, his grandson Brent Osolinsky in 2005, his niece and Godchild Sherry Vachon in 2004 and his sisters Anne Kosmynka and Bronia Osolinsky.
