Leah was born December 21, 1967, in Prince Albert, SK., to Arthur and Darlene Popiel. When Leah was 4, the family moved to Saskatoon where she received her education. After graduating from high school, Leah attended Marvel and the University of Saskatchewan where she achieved a degree in political studies and business administration. Leah loved politics. She was very involved in campaigning for Premiers Romanow and Calvert. Leah also loved all living creatures. She felt that no animal should ever go hungry, be cold, or be in pain. Leah had a zest for life that was second to none and was the light in the life of many. She will be dearly missed.
