BURYNIUK - Stephania (Stella) – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stella Buryniuk, loving mother and baba at Cudworth Nursing Home on August 17, 2018 with her family by her side. Stella was born on November 25, 1933 to John and Josephine (Ewaniuk) Symak and raised on the farm near Cudworth. She attended Skala School then graduated from Cudworth High School in 1952. She pursued a career in Nursing and graduated from St. Elizabeth’s in Humboldt in 1955. Her nursing career began in Cudworth at St. Michael’s Hospital and continued on to Vancouver, Mt. Clemens Michigan and Wakaw. Stella married her soul mate William Buryniuk on July 12, 1962. From there they began their married life and were blessed with two children. Bill farmed and Stella worked at the Wakaw Union Hospital where she welcomed and blessed many babies into this world. She joined the staff at the Lakeview Pioneer Nursing Home in 1975 until her retirement in 2000, for a total nursing career of 45 years. Stella was a lifetime UCWL member, volunteer, served on the library board, hospital auxiliary and Lakeview Pioneer Lodge Auxiliary. Through the years she loved to travel with her husband and family. Their travels took them to Cuba, Mexico, Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean and numerous destinations throughout Canada and the United States. In their later years they made thousands of rosaries which were sent to Ukraine and other countries that they traveled to. Left to cherish her loving memory are her two children and four grandchildren. Allan (Sherry) Buryniuk, Mikayla and Jenna, Wakaw, SK. Paula (Derryl) Zenkewich, Trent and Tyson, Ituna SK. Four sisters, Patricia Bodnar, Josephine Hrabok, Rose Bodnarchuk and Mary Marlett. One sister–in-law Mary Symak. She is predeceased by her husband William, parents John and Josephine Symak, four infant siblings, Bill, Pauline, Peter and Metro. Brothers Gregory (Lena) Symak, Nicholas Symak. Brother’s-in-law Joseph Bodnar, John Hrabok, Terry Bodnarchuk and Sidney Marlett.
