Katherine Betty Mackrell passed away on June 13, 2018 at Humboldt District Hospital at the age of 60 years. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, John; parents Ron and Mary Evans; children Jamie (Derek), Michael (Laura), Ashley (Matthew); grandchildren Kaiden, Carly, Wade, Isabelle, Taylor, Charity; Brother William (Eleanor) Evans, Sister Bernice (Dave) Boucher; as well as many nephews and nieces. Katherine was predeceased by her daughter Tammy. Katherine was a fighter, she overcame cancer in 2006 and it was with great sorrow when she learned it came back in 2016. She was one the most strongest, amazing and inspiring women we knew. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, hosting many dinners and events at their home. She loved her pets, working in her flower beds, camping and being out at the farm. It is with broken hearts we say goodbye but she will forever be in our hearts and missed dearly!!! A private family Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kushneryk Funeral Service in Wakaw with Pastor Mandi Hecht officiating. The family invites the public to join them at the Cudworth Community Hall to share in lunch and fellowship from 2:30 and 4:30. Donations in memory of Katherine may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
