It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mike Tchorewski at his home in Cudworth, on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Mike is survived by his grandchildren: Christopher (Torri) and great grandchild Hayes Tchorewski and Reanne (James) Wiebe, and their mother Cheryl (Darryl) Hamm; his sisters: Helen Chomyn of Toronto, ON, Lillian Yuzak of Wakaw, SK, and Sally Hilkewich of Cudworth, SK, as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Mike was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Frances, his wife Elizabeth (nee Kamineski), his son Robert, his brother Joseph (Anne), his sister Rose (Adam) Sharanowski, his brothers-in-law: Eugene Chomyn, Bernard Yuzak and Tom Hilkewich; and his sister Albina and his brother Henry both in infancy. Mike spent many years farming and in his retirement he enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends and family. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Paul’s Hospital and Rosthern Hospital for the care Mike received. A special thank you is also extended to Vicky and Eugene Yuzak for being with Mike at the time of his passing and to Shelley Curtis-Starosta for the years she spent as Mike’s care giver. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Cudworth on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Colin Roy as celebrant. Interment of the Urn will follow at the Alvena Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mike may be directed to the Alvena Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery.
