Rudolph Stephen "Rudy" Lautner
Lautner – Rudolph (Rudy) Stephen, 83, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on April 10, 2017 at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern. Rudy worked for SaskPower for 36 years, in many different communities, with Wakaw being his home for almost 40 years. Rudy was a very community-minded person. He spent many hours involved in various clubs, organizations and projects. He was hard-working, positive and energetic. He took pleasure in dancing, fishing and camping. His Catholic faith was the foundation for the good man that he was. When diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2006, he embraced his journey with courage and acceptance. Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Irene; three children, Jim (Karen), Karen (Dean Vey), and Lisa (Tom Slusar); grandchildren, Marcus (Marilou), Lana (Dale), Garrett (Chelsea), Carter, Tyler, Sarah and Nolan; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Austin, Mary, Marcus, Parker and Zachary; sister Beatrice Sekel, and brothers Bernard (Shirley) and Don (Sylvia), sister-in-law Elaine (Gerald Rubisch) and numerous nieces and nephews.
