Obituary for Gisele Simonne Gaudet

Gisele Simonne Gaudet
Gisèle was born on October 14, 1928 to Hervé and Marianne Grenier. She was one of 12 children. She attended school at St. Isidore-de-Bellevue school. She stayed home at the age of 14 to help her mom who was sick at the time. She married Denis Gaudet on April 27, 1948. They were blessed with 11 children, 33 grandchildren, and 49 great grandchildren. She devoted her life to loving and raising her family. She loved babysitting, singing and composing songs. She always took time to help anyone in need. Gisèle worked with the Wakaw hospital ladies auxiliary for 35 years. Denis always made sure she had a vehicle to get her to her meetings in Wakaw. She taught us so many things, especially praying and to have faith. Burning a blessed candle was very important to her and to us. She was gifted and creative. She loved making wedding cakes, flowers and bouquets for any bridal parties and never wasted a piece of material because this would make a nice quilt some day! One thing we all remember is coming home to the smell of home made bread and a bowl of good hot home made soup ready for us after school. She always made a huge garden to make sure if it wasn't a good year there would be enough fresh vegetables to feed her family but it always turned out she had enough to give away. Gisèle and Denis moved to Prince Albert on August 1, 1994. They enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and always accepted them as they were! She leaves to cherish her memory: Her children: Roxanne (Bryan Dyck), Mathias (Nancy), Gustave (Alice), Gertrude, Léonard (Sharon), Norbert (Carleen), Anna (Michael Clancy), Isidore (Paulette), Hervé (Joanne), Alexandre, and her daughter-in-law: Germaine Gaudet, her 33 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her sister and brother Dolores (René) Carrière, Dollard (Monique) Grenier and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Denis Gaudet, her son Rosaire, her parents Hervé and Marie-Anne (Gauthier) Grenier, her brothers Florent Grenier, Ulric Grenier, Rosaire Grenier, Michel Grenier and her sisters Claudette Gaudet, Laurianne Gaudet, Dezilda LeBlanc, Angèle Gaudet-Chartier, and Donalda Topping.

You'll always be with us in our hearts and spirit.
We love you mom!
