Rita Rose  Courteau
Courteau, Rita - In our saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on May 24, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Rita passed away in the care of the Saskatoon Convalescent Home where she resided for the past two years. Rita leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her children: Jeannine (Murray) Tiegen of Clavet, SK., Martin (Sarah) Rabu of Winnipeg, MB., Karen (Derek) Hobson of Penticton, B.C., and Angela Dembrowski of Saskatoon, SK; seventeen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, her brother Wilfred (Adeline) LeBlanc of Edmonton, AB., her sister Florence DeMong of Edmonton, AB., her sister-in-law Eva LeBlanc, as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who were dear to her heart. Rita was predeceased by her parents Eugene and Maria (Deault) LeBlanc, her first husband of 48 years Arsene Rabu, her second husband of 15 years Napoleon Courteau, her son Roger Rabu, her daughters Linda (Ron) Salo and Evelyn (George) Roy, her grandson Erin Kalyniuk, her siblings: Simone (Peter) Courteau, Marie (Gil) Grenier and Marcel LeBlanc; and her brother-in-law Floyd DeMong. Rita married Arsene January 28, 1946. They loved raising their family of seven children and farming in the Domremy district. She took pride in her fabulous cooking, baking, gardening, curling, knitting, sewing, and crossword puzzels. Rita also thoroughly enjoyed get togethers for Kaiser or Scrabble tournaments. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Saskatoon Convalescent Home and Dr. Tymchak.
