On May 14, 2014, Gloria passed away peacefully at the age of 69. She will be lovingly remembered by her partner Darrel Uzelman, her four children Deanna (Michael). David, Deborah (Gary), Denita (Troyan), her nine grandchildren, her brother Eugene and all other additional family. Gloria was predeceased by her father Dmytro Chopiuk (1976), brother David Chopiuk (1985), Mother Mary Chopiuk (1993) and niece Donna Chopiuk (1989). Gloria was born in Cudworth and raised on a farm near Wakaw. She moved to Saskatoon and started her career with the Royal University Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse. As children arrived, Gloria stayed at home and devoted her time to her children. As her children grew up, Gloria returned to work and owned and operated a small business in Saskatoon. It was then in mom’s 50’s she went back to school and earned her LPN diploma graduating at the top of her class. Gloria worked with the Saskatoon Health Region up until her retirement. Gloria was a devoted Mother, Baba and friend, always putting her children first. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
